ADVANCED mecHatrOnicS FOR DRONES

The goal of the new company, Técnicas Aéreas de Limpieza, is to provide solar panels cleaning sistems using autonomous drones capable of operating in complex situations in order to increase the performance of said panels.

To this end, we were commissioned to create the onboard cleaning module for the aircraft, meeting very demanding weight and performance requirements.

Mequonic has developed a lightweight mechatronic module capable of projecting water and detergent at high pressure with a robotic arm capable of rotating on two axes, designing the mechanism and hydraulic system, as well as the electronic hardware and firmware.

A specific remote control has also been developed, coupled with the control of the aircraft, with a customized communications protocol using LoRa wireless technology, prioritizing low latency with the range required for the application.

Mequonic has also manufactured and assembled the prototype, which is currently being tested by the client.
